Quest For Spare Jet

SIn its quest for a temporary replacement for its DCS Which crashed at Auckland International Airport on July 4, Air New Zealand aas approached 86 major aliiines in an attempt to charter an aircraft. A spokesman tonight said that replies were just beginning to trickle in. “Summer in the northern hemisphere means that most airlines are working to full capacity and don't have any aircraft spare.” The spokesman said that his airline was not stipulating that the aircraft need be a DCB. Similar big jets in operation are the Joeing 707 and the Convair 880.
