Sponsoring Stakes
The committee of the Canterbury Jockey Club haa accepted an offer made by the directon of Pyne, Gould. Guinness, Ltd., Christchurch, again to provide £5OO by way of sponsorship of the 108th New Zealand Derby Stakes to be run at the club’s New Zealand Cup meeting next November. The offer to in line with a decision approved in principle last year by the directon of the company to spread a total of £lOOO in sponsorship of the event in 19a5 and 1966.
