Money To Be Shared

(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter — Copyright) LONDON. The £22,000 given by the English Football Association to England’s victorious World Cup soccer squad will be shared equally between the 22 players. The F.A. secretary, Mr D. Follows, yesterday said that it was a decision of the players themselves. There was a suggestion earlier that the bonus would be shared on the basis of matches played, but the players had insisted that winning the World Cup was a team effort and that some players had been more fortunate than others in the matter of team selection.
