1966 HEALTH STAMPS

First Public Sale Today

The 1966 health stamps will go on sale at all post offices today. The stamps will be in denominations of 4d and sd. For every stamp sold Id will go to the national health campaign. The two stamps depict tht native weka and bellbird. The colouring is as close to the natural plumage as possible. Sales of the stamp will continue until November 30 or until supplies run out.

Pre-sales to business houses and schools have already reached £5758, £250 more than at the same time last year.

current issue will be the last with the native bird theme. Next year a sporting theme will be used.

Special boxes will be provided at the Chief Post Office today for the reception of first-day covers. Selling booths will also be run by various women's organisations.

First-day postings will also be accepted at special boxes placed at Woolworths stores in High street, Colombo street, Colombo street, Sydenham, Bishopdale, Hornby and Riyiarton.
