Sprint Champion In British League Side

AUCKLAND.

The former British sprint champion, B. T. Jones, has been included in the Britain Rugby League team to play in the opening match of its tour, against Waikato at Huntly today.

Jones was a member of the British team which equalled the world record for the 4 x 100 yards relay in 1963.

He has recorded 10.3 sec for 100 metres. He gave up a promising athletic career in 1964 when only 24 and joined Wakefield Trinity. He played in three tests for Britain against France during 1965.

Jones will play on the wing today. The tourists have chosen a strong side and have included five players who were in the third test match against Australia last month.

They are the full-back, K. J. Gowers, the wing, W. Burgess, the centre, I. Brooke and the forwards, W. Ramsey and B. J. Edgar.

Waikato has made only two changes from the team which lost, 12-13, to Auckland recently, and will be without its Kiwi players. W. G. Deacon and G. Farrar.

In their places will be the North Island stand-off half, J. Nicholson, who missed selection in the Waikato side against Auckland because of an Injury, and M. Herewlni. Waikato has lost only one

of its four representative matches so far this season and should be able to test the touring team. The teams are:
