WELLINGTON, August 2.

A military service ballot covering young men born in the period March 1 to June 30,1946, will be held on Wednesday, August 10.

Thirty-four birth days will be drawn estimated to produce 1750 men for service, subject to medical examination and other processing. “I remind young men In this age group who may not have registered that if they do not do so immediately, they render themselves liable for service whether or not their birth dates are drawn in the ballot,” said the Minister of Labour (Mr Shand) today.
