Barramundi To Be Protected

(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) SYDNEY, July 28. Under new laws brought in this week fishermen in the Northern Territory will have to throw back fish less than 23in long. The new regulation applies to barramundi—the north’s most popular fish—and a specimen of that size weighs about 51b. The restrictions are being introduced to prevent overexploitation of the barramundi.
