New Player For Lions
The Welsh full-back, T. Price, has been invited to join the Lions as a replacement for D. Rutherford, who suffered a broken arm in the match against ManawatuHorowhenua last week. Price has declared himself fit but will have to pass a fitness test before he can travel to New Zealand. If he does not pass the test, another Welsh full-back, G. T. R. Hodgson, will replace him. It is expected that the replacement will arrive in New Zealand on Wednesday. Price is the outstanding goal-kicker in British Rugby and would have been a certainty to be in the original team if he had not suffered a cartilage injury at the end of the season.
