Honour For Bishop

The former Bishop of Christchurch, the Rt. Rev. A. K. Warren, was elected a life vice-president of the National Council of Churches at its annual meeting on Saturday. Bishop Warren had served as a member of the council executive since its foundation 25 years ago and this was a way of honouring him, said the president (the Very Rev. M. W. Wilson). Other officers of the executive elected were: president, the Very Rev. M. W. Wilson; vice-president, the Rev. W. S. Dawson; executive, the Very Rev. W. A. Pyatt, Mrs D. Johnson, Mr D. A. Cowey, the Rev. Dr. R. J. Thompson, the Rev. A. H. McLeod, Brigadier L. Millar, the Rev. R. M. Rogers, the Rev. R. M. Wendelborn, the Ven. W. M. Davies.
