Test Wings From Canterbury?
[By Our Rugby AUCKLAND. Canterbury should provide both Ail Black wings
for the second test at Wellington next Saturday. It is expected that W. M. Birtwistle will replace I. S. T. Smith on the right-wing and that A. G. Steel, who came into the first test team when Birtwistle was unavailable,
will retain his place. Smith played reasonably well at Dunedin but appeared to have lost a little of his speed. Although Birtwistle has been dogged by a hamstring injury this season,
Correspondent] if fully fit he is the best attacking wing in New Zealand.
Now that the All Blacks are making positive attempts to use their backs, he will fit in well with the attacking pattern. The team to be announced on Saturday evening should be:—
W. M. Williment; Steel, R. E. Rangi, Birtwistle; I. R. Macßae, M. A. Herewlni; C. R. Laidlaw; B. J. Lochore; K. R. Tremain, C. E. Meads, S. T. Meads, W. J. Nathan; K. F. Gray, B. E. McLeod, E. J. Hazlett.
