(Special Crspdt NZPA> PALMERSTON NORTH. I The Lions full-back, D. l Rutherford, broke his. right arm in yesterday’s match against Combined; Manawatu-Horowhenua at Palmerston North. Rutherford left the field eight minutes after half-time with his arm in a sling.' He received a kick when] trying to stop a forward ■ rush. The manager of the Lions, Mr D. J. O'Brien, said last evening that no thought had been given to a replacement at this stage. It is not known yet how long Rutherford will be out of action.
