Pound Much Improved

The pound has improved considerably since the announcement of the British Government’s deflationary measures last week.

This is shown by yesterday’s exchange rates advised by the Bank of New South Wales.

The pound recovered against all currencies except the Belgian franc and the Norwegian crown. The Belgian franc hardened further on sterling, while the rate on Norwegian crowns was unchanged.
