STEWARD LANDED

riV.Z. Prest Aisociation) NAPIER, July 24. A sick assistant steward of the oil tanker Athelviscount, Thomas McMann, was brought to Napier today by the trawler Deep Sea II and admitted to hospital. Later he was said to be comfortable and improving.

The Athelviscount, which left Wellington yesterday for Marsden Point, called the Napier Harbour Board by radio when Mr McCann became ill.

The tanker was met off the Napier breakwater by the trawler with a doctor and ambulancemen aboard.
