Stallion For West Coast
(N.Z. Press Association* HASTINGS. The Hastings breeder, Mr F. P. A. Campbell, has agreed to lease the former good galloper, Turon, to Mr W. Dudley, of Totara Flat, for stud duty. The lease was arranged at the request of the Westland District Racing Committee, which is perturbed at the lack of opportunities for West Coast breeders to produce racing stock, since the departure from the province of the highly-successful stallion, Red Jester. His placings included a tnird in the Awapuni Gold Cup, and a second to Passive in the New Zealand St Leger.
