Overcast Day

The weather in Christchurch yesterday was overeast with a cool south-easterly for most of the day. Frost of three degrees was measured at Harewood and one of four degrees at the Botanic Gardens. The temperature at Harewood at 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. was 38 degrees and at. noon 44 degrees. At 3 p.m. it was 41 degrees. Forty-four degrees was shown on the Government Life building gauge at 4.30 p.m.
