Major-General W. S. McKinnon, Chief of the General Staff, arrived in Christchurch yesterday to make his annual inspection of units at Burnham Military Camp. He will leave for Wellington about noon today. Captain B. R. H. Monk of the Ist Battalion Depot, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment, has left Bumham Military Camp to attend a command and staff training course at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Mr J. Bremner, formerly head of the languages department at Westlake Boys’ High School. Auckland, has been appointed rector of King’s High School, Dunedin. At present he is a relieving inspector at Auckland.
