CLOTHING STOLEN
Thieves Break Into Store (N.Z. Press Association! AUCKLAND, July 18. Thieves used a truck to cart away more than £2OOO of clothing from the store of Warehouse Clearance, Ltd., Ponsonby, during the weekend. They also took the safe, which held about £2BO.
Most of the clothing taken was menswear, and it included the best quality stock. The window display was not touched so that the theft was not discovered until this morning. Entry was effected from an adjoining store. The clothes were said by police to have been loaded into the truck at the rear of the premises. Last week thieves attempted to get into the shop but failed.
