Prams On Buses

Sir, —The poor, poor drivers having occasionally to go and get a pram! Do they consider the pregnant mother struggling with a toddler when they jerk the bus into mobility? I wonder. Of course, they must keep to their schedule, and that is why our bus sometimes leaves the terminus four or five minutes early, so

that the driver can sit at one of the town stops in order to arrive in the Square on time. If there is a ban on prams on buses will the union concerned bear the responsibility of many infants missing the oral polio vaccination since the clinic is in town? Or will bus fares go up so that the drivers’ wives can afford taxis in order that their babes may have this protection?—Yours, etC " MRS PREGGERS. July 14, 1966.
