Although Hot Sun has failed in the last two years when favourite for the Grand National Hurdle, bookmakers have made him a short-priced favourite In today’s hurdle at Flemington. At his last start—his first hurdle race since last year’s Grand National—Hot Sun won the Plenty Hurdle at Moonee Valley easily. Byrne, is confident that Ross can win the big race again. Ross is now equal third favourite at 6/1, with Solar Dale in the 13-horse field.
