Taxation Relief
There should be a relief in the burden of taxation racing and trotting are canning, the Committee of Inquiry reported, but unless the Government realises the position, racing clubs in New Zealand are likely to go through a difficult period. The committee says it is in accord with various submissions on taxation, but cannot take the matter further. It did, however, express the i view that it fully supported ; the submissions of the Racing and Trotting Conferences. The committee considered that the limited concessions made recently were totally inadequate.
