KEY MAN DROPPED
Harewood’s Hard Task By dropping H. Kerrigan, Harewood may have reduced its chances of beating University in this afternoon’s main senior men’s hockey match. Kerrigan's absence may mean Harewood finding goals harder to come by. University could face the same trouble. The forwards have shown some goal-scoring ability but tend to flat pass when a swift pass forward would be more fruitful. The other close game should be between Woolston A and Sydenham. Sydenham last week beat High School Old Boys and with its captain, R. Fergus, back after an enforced spell, could also topple Woolston. The latter has made some progress recently and is moving closer to the top three teams. Hagley Old Boys should beat Selwyn and High School Old Boys should retrieve a little lost ground, after the defeat at Sydenham’s hands last week, by beating Woolston B.
