CHATHAMS MAIL
A private chartered flight from Christchurch to the Chatham Islands last Saturday carried 3001 b of mail for the Post Office. The mail came from all parts of New Zealand. On the return trip the aircraft carried 301 b of mail. The delivery was made by courtesy of the charterer, Mr G. A. Blaikie, a Bluff fisherman.
Seamen Fined.—For using obscene language, two seamen. Anthony John Foxwell and James Garry McGaffrey, were fined £5 each by Captain C. C. Gass and Mr D. Loader,
