YESBERG IN FORM

A superb exhibition of constructive billiards by T. Yesberg (Richmond) was the most impressive performance in the tenth round of the inter-club matches. In his game with the inform Christchurch W.M.C. player, V. Choate, Yesberg gave a masterful display of ball control and precision potting. His two breaks of 73 and 56—made on the championship table could well prove a reliable guide to this year’s championship matches.

Choate, although overshadowed throughout the match, was also in good form. His break of 49 was compiled with a fine touch, and a confident approach to the task of winning.

C. Barnett scored the surprise win of the round when he edged out D. Hallum with a fine unfinished break of 56.
