ASYLUM SOUGHT

Kabaka In Burundi fN.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) BUJUMBURA (Burundi), June 20. The Kabaka of Buganda (Sir Edward Frederick Mutesa), missing since his palace near Kampala was occupied by Ugandan Government troops on May 24, has asked for political refuge in Burundi. The Council of Ministers will meet tomorrow to consider the request. “King Freddie” is in Burundi. The Kabaka is suffering from malaria contracted eight days ago when he rested by a swamp during his escape. He arrived in Bujumbura yesterday by car from the Congo and was seen in bed in his hotel room by a Reuter correspondent.

He said he intended to leave for London as soon as possible.
