Evangelical Work

The sole New Zealand-based representative of a worldwide evangelist association will visit Christchurch from June 29 to July 3 during a South Island tour. He is the Rev. A. Erickson, a Canadian and co-evangelist with the T. L. Osborn Evangelistic Association, which has its headquarters in the United States and more than 50 full-time staff throughout the world. Mr Erickson will show four films made by Mr Osborn on his crusades. The films show the crusades and reported cases of people said to have been healed of physical ills while they were being conducted. The latest of the four, “Luzon Reaper,” is about work among the rice growers of Luzon in the Philippines. Besides conducting missions in more than 30 countries, the T. L. Osborn Evangelical Association published tracts and other religious material in 100 languages, Mr Erickson said.
