BUTTERFAT PROCESSED

April Total Down (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 13. Total butterfat processed in April dropped 0.2 million pounds to 37.1 million pounds compared with April last year, according to the Dairy Board. But for the 11 months to the end of April butterfat processed was 556.0 million pounds, a rise of 20.6 million pounds, or 3.9 per cent over the same period last season. The butterfat processed so far this season has now passed last season’s total production of 552.3 million pounds or 0.7 per cent, thus establishing a record level of production.
