WELLINGTON, June 3.

Intensive competition is preventing over-all increases in sales and problems of supply of raw materials are beginning to be felt, according to directors of Giant Industries, Wellington-based paint makers. In view of the Government’s import licencing policy it is expected these problems will be aggravated in the new licensing period. The board and management are closely examining all aspects of the group’s operations with a view to improving results in the next half year, they say.
