Cats Shown On Stamps

Postage stamps featuring cats will be displayed at the third national cat show in the Horticultural Hall tomorrow.

The collection of about 50 stamps from 12 countries has been compiled by Mr F. J. C. Dann, of Christchurch. Most of the stamps are enlarged reproductions.

Mr Dann received the stamps from a friend in America. They depict all types of cat from pedigree breeds to the house cat.

The stamps were originally produced in Spain, Cuba, Rumania, Hungary, East Germany, France, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium. Luxembourg, the United States and the Yemen Republic. Mr Dann will also show colour reproductions of different breeds of cats.
