Trade Talks In Rome

(N.Z. Prtss Association) ROME, May 30. Mr M. J. Moriarty, the Secretary of Industries and Commerce, had discussions on trade between New Zealand and Italy with Italian trade officials in Rome today. Mr Moriarty, who has been having trade talks in London, took advantage of the English Whitsun holiday to fly to Rome for the talks. At the New Zealand stand at the Rome flair today, Mr Moriarty said he was impressed by the Dominion’s contribution. "It is essential that we show Italy that we are interested in selling New Zealand products and this is a good way to do it.”

Mr Moriarty will return to London tomorrow.
