DISMISSAL OF APPEAL

Mt. Isa Mines Dispute (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) SYDNEY, May 25. The full High Court yesterday dismissed a niotion by 45 former employees of Mt. Isa Mines. Ltd., without hearing the company in reply. The men had applied for special leave to appeal against the refusal of the full Supreme Court of Queensland to order their reinstatement. At the end of their case, the presiding Judge said the Court did not wish to hear counsel in reply and he dismissed the application, with costs. This ended ’ the litigation which followed settlement of the disastrous strike at Mt. Isa in 1964.
