MELBOURNE

Industrials were steadier on the Melbourne Stock Exchange yesterday, with rises slightly in excess of falls in narrow movement. Activity in oils and base metals dominated the market. C.R.A. lost 9 cents to 431 on the possibility of mine closure at Broken Hill and Ampol Exploration, in spite of news that the Barrow Island field had been declared commercial, was down 11 cents to 132.
