Rugby Captain Retires
The former captain of the Mid-Canterbury senior Rugby team, R. G. Fraser, who said earlier this month that he was available for the combined Mid and South Canterbury and North Otago team to play the Lions in Timaru next month, has announced his retirement from firstclass Rugby.
Fraser’s retirement came as a surprise to Mid-Canter-bury Rugby officials.
Defending Title.—E. Terrell will defend his World Boxing Association version of the world heavy-weight championship against D. Jones, on June 28.
