Car Hits Two Women

Two women were struck by a car at the corner of Bealey avenue and Victoria street about 9.10 p.m. yesterday. Miss Susan Jennifer Ford, of Flat 2, 48 Bealey avenue, suffered fairly serious head injuries, and was admitted to thte Princess Margaret Hospital, where her condition was reported as satisfactory. Mrs Kathleen Ford, of the same address, was treated for head and leg injuries at the Christchurch Hospital.
