Just Good Friends

(N.Z. Press Association)

AUCKLAND, May 27.

A registry office wedding between two Americans who met on the liner Monterey on a voyage to New Zealand did not take place today. The couple, Miss Sunny Harris, of Birmingham, Alabama, and Mr J. W. Koontz, of Baltimore, visited the office at 3 p.m. but were still single when they emerged a quarter of an hour later. “They cancelled their plans of their own free will,” the registrar, Mr W. S. Bainbridge, said tonight.
