New Zealand junior tennis players must be prepared to follow a coach's Instructions implicitly, then go out and practise for hours on end if they wanted to equal Australian standards. The Auckland junior team manager, Mr J. Gilmour, said this yesterday after the return of the team last night from Sydney, where it has been competing in the New South Wales age and secondary schools’ championships.

He said that the team —Miss A. Stevens, Miss C. Bray, A. Guise and B. Metge had performed “very creditably," but his main impression from seeing the two series was of the overriding need for more practice by New Zealanders.
