New South Wales has achieved a magnificent record against touring Rugby teams since the Second Worfd War. In its last five international games, it has beaten South Africa, New Zealand and the British Lions, drawn with the Lions, and lost to New Zealand.
Its post-war record is:— 1946: v. New Zealand, won 12-9: lost 3-26. 1950: v. Lions, won 12-17; lost 6-22. 1951: v. New Zealand, lost 3-24. 1956: v. South Africa, lost 6-29. 1957: v. New Zealand, lost 3-24. 1959: v. Lions, won 18-14. 1960: v. New Zealand, lost 0-27. 1962: v. New Zealand, won 12-11. 1965: v. South Africa, won 12-3. 1966: v. Lions, drew 6-6.
