FON RUNS WELL
Fine Trial At Hastings "The Press" Special Service HASTINGS. Two Foxton Cup runners, Fon and Gillin, shaped well in track trials at Hastings yesterday morning. Fon has been worked nartlcularly well since disap jointing in the Dewar Cup at Hastings and he has freshened Gillin will have his first start over a middle distance since he resumed racing at the Woodville fixture and could be prominent Fon fR. He is very solid in condition and well forward.
Vigour IK. Cullen) easily beat Off Course (A. T. Jones) over five furlongs in Imin 6sec, the last three in 41 3-ssec. Vigour will go to Rotorua for the Jumpers' Flat and is fit enough to be hard to beat.
