A. AND N.Z. DIVIDEND

Payment Same As Last Year (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 17. The directors of the Australia ”nd New Zealand Bank have declared an interim dividend for the year to September 30, 1966 of 5 per cent, less British income tax at the standard rate (8s 3d). Last year’s interim dividend was the same. On present forecasts they expect the year’s results to be about the same as for last year, and to maintain the final dividend at 7 per cent less tax. This would make the year’s distribution the same as that for last year. The dividend will be payable on July 8, 1966, to shareholders registered in the books of the bank at the close of business on June 13, 1966. The dividend will be paid in London in English currency, and in Australia and New Zealand at the buying rates of exchange for telegraphic transfers on London current at the date of the dividend warrants.
