LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
(1) Letters sent to the Editor for printing should preferably be typed, otherwise they must be written in ink on one side of the paper only. A legible signature and full address are required whether these are to be published or not. A P.O box number is not a sufficient address.
(2) Writers must say clearly whether or not their letters are being or have been sent to other papers. (3) The Editor cannot return or keep any letter which for any reason is unsuitable for printing; nor can he acknowledge unsuitable letters although this will be done where it seems to be need ful, or enter into any correspondence. (4) Letters must not be of more than 150 words.
Far Back Dan.—No space for more letters on the age benefit.
Daughter of the Aged.—No space for a correspondence on this subject just now. Ils ne Passeront Pas.—You are questioning a correspondent's good faith over a nom-de-plume
Seth Newell.—Barely relevant to Mr Hillary’s subject and, in effect, a repetition of earlier letters.
Live Entertainment Forever. We have space for only one critic who, we think, did full justice to "Hello Dolly.”
Safety First.—We see no occasion to reopen the correspondence on the road toll just now.
Skim Milk.—No space for another correspondence on milk standards now. You could take a sample to the Metropolitan Milk Board for testing. Postage on a sealed letter now is 4d, not 3d.
