EXPORT, EFFORT

Firms Set Example (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 17. New Zealand must export more if its people were to continue to live well, the Minister of Overseas Trade (Mr Marshall) said at the export seminar today. Mr Marshall, who attended the final session of the twoday seminar, described the efforts made by the six successful companies in the export award scheme recently held by the Trade Promotion Council. “What some companies have done,” he said, “can also be achieved by many others.” “I believe we can earn £2O million of much needed overseas funds this year from the export of manufactured goods. It is no longer necessary to convince most of you of the need to export. What is needed is to give more manufacturers, and others, assistance in learning how to export.”
