House Rents Resolved

C.V.Z. Priss Association) WELLINGTON, May 18.

The departmental housing rents dispute between the Government and the Combined State Services Organisation, which represents Government employees, is expected to be resolved this week. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said after a Cabinet meeting that a final statement on housing rents could be expected this week. The dispute arose late last year when the Government proposed that rents for departmental houses should be 5 per cent of valuation because of anomalies In the present rating system.
