MAYFIELD DOG TRIALS
Large Entry For Annual Fixture The Mayfield Collie Dog Club’s annual trials held over three days recently attracted 333 entries in the six events. Competitors came from districts as far afield as Waiau and Gore. The standard of competition was particularly high throughout. A local competitor, C. Johnson, performed well with his entries, gaining two open and three district events. Judges were: Messrs D. G. McGrath, long pull; T. T. Ritchie, yarding; J. Divers, zig-zag huntaway; J.
