Latest high-production full fashion knitting machines are to be installed in the Auckland plant of Victoria Knitwear, Ltd., within the next few months, it has been announced. Victoria Knitwear is a subsidiary of Prestige (N.Z.). The managing director of Prestige (Mr B. W. Thorpe) said the new machinery would substantially increase production.
Allen Industrie!—Directors of Allen Industries, Auckland calendar manufacturers, recommend a dividend of 9 per cent. An extraordinary meeting on May 31 will consider increasing authorised capital to £300,000 in one million ordinary 10s shares and a one-for-four tax-free bonus issue; ex dividend.
