1400 Entries
More than 1400 competitors from 41 countries are expected to compete in the forthcoming British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Jamaica. England and Jamaica, with an estimated entry of 200 each, head the list. The organising committee is expecting a team of 80—60 men and 20 women—from New Zealand. The eighth Empire Games will he opened officially on August 4.
