Youths Not Convicted

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 2. Four youths who stole a New Zealand flag which had been flying in the grounds of Government House on April 25 were discharged without conviction under section 42 of the Criminal Justice Act when they appeared before Mr R. D. Jamieson, S.M., today for sentence on a joint charge of theft. They are Terence John Barr, aged 18, Anthony John Hodge, aged 19, sales representatives and part-time university students, David John Simpson, aged 18, and William Bruce McKinnon, aged 19 university students. Each was ordered to pay £1 10s costs and make restitution of £3.
