Too Turbulent For ’Copters
(N.Z. Press Association) TAURANGA, May 2. Two R.N.Z.A.F. Bell Sioux helicopters spent yesterday afternoon and last night at the Tauranga airport. The helicopters were being flown from Rotorua to Auckland yesterday when their pilots decided to land at Tauranga because of severe turbulence. The helicopters landed at 1 pm. They left for Auckland today at 9 a.m. They were in Rotorua to make a reconnaissance of the area for the R.N.Z.A.F.
