BULK FERTILISER BlN.—This bulk fertiliser bin capable of holding up to 80 tons of superphosphate is situated close to an airstrip in about the centre of the Lands and Survey Department’s 4556 acres Moorland farm settlement in the Hakataramea valley. The bin has a roof which runs on rails to facilitate filling of the bin. In the foreground, from left, are Messrs J. B. Parcell, a field officer of the department who is supervisor of the block, A. T. Finnie, who is manager of the block, and Mr R. M. Maclean, who is the senior field officer of the department at Timaru.
