Increase Of £36,953 An increase of £36,953 for i the 1965-66 financial year >was reported to the Christ-church-Lyttelton Road Tunnel Authority by the general manager (Mr L. H. Wilson) yesterday in a review of total toll revenue.

Vehicle tolls were £138,045, against £115,364 in the previous year, and goods tolls £30,544. compared with £16.272.

Mr Wilson said the budget estimate of total receipts was £150.000. The budget estimated a surplus of £48,480, and the actual surplus would be £67,069, plus any savings on expenditure. The figures did not take account of interest charges, sundry income and surpluses brought forward from the two previous years. In his figures for March, Mr Wilson showed that traffic increased by 14,279 vehicles, 17.3 per cent. On goods tolls, he said, there had been an increase of 233.9 per cent in tonnage and of 87.7 per cent in toll receipts.
