Sydney Trading Gains On Week
N.Z. Press Association —Copyright; SYDNEY, April 27. The market gained ground last week with the share price index gaining 3.23 to 326.09. Total average daily turn-over of 785,000, including 247,850 mining, although slightly down on the previous week’s, was above average.
Interest remained high in 8.H.P., about 66,000 shares changing hands over the last week. The shares greeted the active trading with a rise of 10c to 546. Email, manufacturers of electrical, gas and oil indus-
trial and consumer equipment and irrigation equipment, etc., cut consolidated net profit after providing 214,000 dollars for taxation and 848,000 dollars for depreciation. The company made a profit on the sale of assets of 173.356 dollars. The 50c ordinary shares of the company are currently selling at 43 cents. Frozen Food Industries of Australia, ice manufacturers, cold storage operators and frozen snack food manufacturers, increased consolidated net profit for 13 months to March 31 by 14,365 dollars to 49,045 dollars. Directors reported that consolidated net profit for the nine months to March 31 was 134,765 dollars, an increase of approximately 53,338 dollars. The 50c ordinary shares of the company are currently selling at around 165.
