Schools’ Cup Soccer
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. A national secondary schools’ soccer competition, on the lines of the Chatham Cup, may be started this sea-, son. The New Zealand Junior Football Association has circularised the headmasters of every secondary school in New Zealand, inviting them to participate in the competition, which the association hopes to begin by the end of May. The N.Z.J.F.A. invisages a competition similar to the Chatham Cup. Run on a knock-out basis, zonal games would be played first, followed by provincial finals and the national final.
